I decided to try out a new shape for my tall vases and use porcelain to see what kind of results I'll get for our next woodfiring in the Groundhog kiln. I am also going to use some new oxidised glazes and fire them in my electric kiln.
I'm working on a beautiful ice blue glaze that I have been mesmerised by since my days at TAFE doing my associate diploma.

Woo hoo! I got my woodfired work back from the recent woodfiring @gooseneckpottery fired in the legendary Naborigama 4 chambered climbing kiln. It was an eventful firing, as woodfiring can often be, but the results are often nothing short of amazing.
This kiln is fired for around 5 days and requires a team to work around the clock to get all of the chambers up to temperature. Each chamber is fired to a temperature of around 1320°.
All of these pots are available to buy at my shop in Molong. Or if you like what you see send me an email and I can send work to you.
I will share some more pots soon that are earmarked for a group exhibition I will be a part of @gangganggallery. Stay tuned!
